Bridging the Gaps 2020: Podcasts on ecology, health, energy, well-being…..

Our 2020 podcast series, Bridging the Gaps, was co-organised by Feasta and the European Health Futures Forum. It was a follow-on to our 2019 series Beyond the Obvious, also done in collaboration with the EHFF.

Feasta’s response to the European Commission’s proposal concerning emissions of greenhouse gases from aircraft

Feasta has issued a press release (pdf format, 76K) in response to today’s proposal by the European Commission concerning emissions of greenhouse gases from aircraft. We believe that the Commission’s proposal would distort competition between all forms of transport, hand windfall profits to airlines rather than citizens, and would fail to provide a model for the overall reform of the EU Emissions Trading Scheme. We suggest an alternative approach which would involve placing a limit on emissions and other environmental damage from the entire transport sector. Controlling the environmental impact of the transport sector
