You can now watch multimedia presentations of all five seminars in Feasta’s seminar series Converging Crises, Policy Responses. These seminars took place in June and July 2008 and were presented by David Korowitz, Bruce Darrell, Richard Douthwaite, Emer O’Siochru and John Jopling. Their themes were “The Future’s Not What It Used To Be”, “Planning For Food Security”, “The Need For Benign Inflation”, “Reclaiming the Commons” and “Global Governance for Climate Change”. Harvard Project on International Climate Agreements competition
The Harvard Project on International Climate Agreements is running a competition to design “a complete climate policy framework to succeed the Kyoto Protocol in the post-2012 period.” Cap and Share could fit the bill very well. Cap and Share – Evening meeting for Feasta members in Dublin
Feasta held three events in Dublin on Wednesday, June 25th to launch two new Cap and Share documents.
The first event was a lunch-time meeting with the Stop Climate Chaos coalition, to which Feasta belongs, to try to persuade them that the best way for the SCC to achieve its aim of having the government put a price on carbon this year is for the SCC to demand that the adoption of Cap and Share be announced in the December budget. The second meeting in the afternoon was a briefing for TDs and senators in Leinster House.
